My Story
An open minded, cheerful and fun loving person, Nkosi is first born of proud parents Johnson and Vainah.  Ndlovu is Zimbabwean and has 4 brothers and 3 sisters.  Born in Bulawayo’s oldest hospital, Mpilo, Ndlovu spent his early teenage years in rural Matabeleland North, Nkayi, Gwelutshena, eZidulini to be precise.  He did his primary education at Zidulini school where in 1983, he became one of the youngest school choir members that participated in inter-schools competitions when Zidulini came 3rd.  Nkosi came to Bulawayo in 1985 and attended Lozikheyi primary school in Nguboyenja.  He did his secondary education at Sobukhazi High School where he was a member of a male group that sang during the school's assembly sessions.

Through the years, Nkosi has been actively involved in music especially in Bulawayo's Makhokhoba Seventh-day Adventist church where he served both as choir member and conductor. Nkosi's inspirational and role models in music, include, Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Sipho Makhabane, Lucky Dube, Joseph Shabalala (Ladysmith Black Mambazo), David Masondo (Soul Brothers), Deborah Fraser and Oliver Mtukudzi. In 2002, Ndlovu moved to the United Kingdom and has performed in various gatherings as a soloist, with his group and also with the King's Shepherds Quartet (where he serves as Director of Music). Besides music and songwriting, Nkosi is also an academic. 2008 saw him graduate twice at the University of Wolverhampton. Also, some of his commitments include, charity work for poor communities and his former primary school, Zidulini in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe.

Nkosi has a strong passion for music and poetry; he loves music; he lives music – in fact it will suffice to say music and singing is what he knows best. His debut album ‘Umusa’ which is Ndebele/Zulu was released in 2007 was well received. Nkosi's second album entitled 'Hamba Jonah is expected out in December 2008. Visit www.myspace.com/nkosikandlovu and listen to 'Hamba Jonah. It is Nkosi's desire to give you his best in music, hence his call for comments and suggestions. Liyabonga; libingelela futh'ithole leNdlovu njalo liyanithanda nonke (thank you very much, I love you all).
